Here are some pictures from our first week.
Picture #1 is a picture of our Ice Cream adventures! We LOOOOOVE Korean ice cream! I'm not even kidding. The green package that Charles is holding is a coffee popsicle! It is so delicious! It has chocolate flakes INSIDE OF THE POPSICLE. Brilliant.
This picture is also a picture of Charles reading Korean. As you can tell by his face, Daniel Teacher, the grammar teacher, is very proud and slightly amused by our fascination of sounding out Korean words. Korean is phonetic, just like English. Mr. Pak taught us our letters, so now we can sound things out! However, sounding things out only goes so far... because we have no idea what the words mean! :)
This is me (making an ugly face thanks to Charles' photography skills) playing "gong gi" (Korean Jacks). We had a tournament in the teachers' lounge with the teachers & the TA's. The Tae Kwon Do instructors (Phillip & Justin) were not invited because they were showing off their mad jacks' skills the day before!
This is Henry, my TA, royally schooling Christina (the Bible Teacher), Charles, and I. He beat us by like 50 points before the end-of-lunch-bell rang! As you can see, we are not all work & no play!
That's the glimpse of the week so far!
